Story
This year, I've decided to set myself the challenge of running the Great Scottish Run 10k, in aid of Drake Music Scotland. Drake Music Scotland is the nation's leading arts organisation creating music making opportunities for children and adults with disabilities. I was first introduced to the amazing team at DMS when working on a project they did in collaboration with Children's Classic Concerts. I was completely blown away by the work they do and it was such an honour to be involved with the awesome kids we had performing. I had a ball with these kids and the team and I really wanted to do something to support their continuous work and support for musicians and composers who otherwise might not have the chance to create and perform.
So, here we are. I'm a pretty useless runner, I can just about drag myself round a 5k, but as I learnt from the last 10k I did (we don't talk about that (or my severe lack of training)), it definitely feels like quite a lot longer! I plan on actually going running before the race this time (radical, I know), so hopefully it'll turn out to be a fun race and I'd love if you could support me, and this wonderful charity.
I understand entirely that money can be tight and I'm completely respectful of that, so anything you can give at all would be incredible. Even a couple of quid can make a difference and I'd be delighted if I could meet my target of £250!

The collaboration project I worked on with Children's Classic Concerts was titled 'We Can Fly' and was the most inspiring and emotional weekend of shows. A wee film was made about the process from workshop through to performance, please give it a watch so you can understand how incredible these kids are. https://www.facebook.com/CCCLoveMusic/videos/302367243736332/
