Story
After losing three relatives to stomach cancer, my mother and I learned we had the CDH1 gene mutation. From the moment we learned this, we spent most of our early days reading the content on No Stomach For Cancer’s website and creating a path to decide on a surgeon and care plan.
After two, successful, prophylactic total gastrectomy's, we both learned we each had stage one stomach cancer that was undetected before surgery. I am forever thankful for the work that No Stomach For Cancer has done and continues to do to help those affected by stomach cancer.
My co-host for this fundraiser is Camden Linstead who also had his stomach completely removed due to CDH1 10 years ago! We launched this campaign to enjoy some friendly competition in racing and fundraising! Don't let him beat me! ;)
The money that is raised in this campaign will go straight to No Stomach For Cancer and will be devoted to specific research for those affected by the CDH1 Gene Mutation. We are asking for donations of $26.2 (for the 26.2 miles we will be running) but any donations large and small are accepted.
Join us in the fun, follow the race, make a donation and share on Facebook! We are truly grateful for your help and donation.
Thank you,
Dylan and Camden
