Deborah's (and Luna's!) #Stoma66 Challenge

#STOMA66 · 16 November 2019
Being an Ostomate now, I'm aware I need to keep an eye on my fitness levels, plus the surgery has left me with a bit of a messy midriff, so this is exactly what I need!
The benefit is I can get fit and help a great charity.
Research shows that on average it takes 66 days to form a lasting habit. That means, now I am up and moving, if I can be active for 66 days then there’s a good chance I'll carry on too.
According to the NHS being active on a regular basis helps improve both your mental and physical well-being. That is reason enough. I'm physically different and my mental well being has taken a bit of a knock.
Colostomy UK have provided me with comprehensive information about my new life as an Ostomate, and they've helped in so many ways so if I can raise a few quid for them then it's the least I can do to thank them.
So, for the next 66 days, I shall mainly be out running with Luna (OK, jogging / crawling)
Who knows, one day I may join Aaron for a cheeky marathon! (pah!)
