This 25 June, we are taking on the ultimate test in golf – Macmillan’s Longest Day Golf Challenge. Macmillan’s event partner, adidas Golf have not only challenged us to take on this golfing marathon, but to take this a step further to conquer 100 holes – all in one day!
Our courageous team of superheroes are Anton Du Beke, DJ Spoony, Charlotte Jackson, Matt Dawson, Zoe Hardman, Russ Bray, Mark Foster, James Jordan, Pete Graves, Adam Levanthal, Lee Dixon, Sarah Stirk, David Seaman, James Davies, Michael Taylor, Callum Sharp, Lindsay Grieve, Grant Chapman, Jack Hayward, Graeme Hamlett, Andy Roberts, Eddie Reid, Andy Martin, Stephen Gibson, Paul McEvoy, Scott Booth, Paul Simmons, Greg Pearse, Mark Sutton, Paul Hitchenor, Chris Hedderman, Jessica Florey, Graeme Morton, Michael Birch, Adam Foster and Sam Cope.
This will be no easy feat. Starting at 4.30am, we expect to be out on the course from first light until dusk with just a short break halfway through the day to re-energise. What’s more, we’re not allowed to use buggies. This equates to walking over 25 miles and hitting over 400 shots!
Macmillan Cancer Support provides practical, medical, financial and emotional support for people affected by cancer and their families. By taking on the Longest Day Golf Challenge, we’re helping to ensure no-one will face cancer alone.
So please sponsor us for our efforts – and help to ensure the 2 million people living with cancer in the UK have a Macmillan team in their corner. On diagnosis. Through treatment. And afterwards.
If you think you've got what it takes to conquer the challenge, it's not too late to join us and 720 other teams across the country. To sign up today, fly over to macmillan.org.uk/longestday
