Story

This June we will be pushing ourselves to the limit to complete the mighty Three Peaks Challenge! This incredible and gruelling event consists of climbing the 3 highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales on June 23rd- 24th.

Starting with the most challenging, Ben Nevis, in Scotland on the Friday afternoon. With a height of 4, 411.18 ft it is the highest in the UK! After reaching the summit we will be descending in the fading light which should be interesting to say the least!

We will then head south to England starting our ascent of Scafell Pike at the extremely early time of 3.45am,Saturday morning. Although the smallest of the challenge, in places this mountain is the most technical with a height of 3209ft. When we have raced down Scafell Pike we will depart for Wales for the final part of the challenge to conquer Snowdon.

While Snowdon is considered the easiest it will be the longest trail of all 3 with a height of 3560ft. Hopefully we will be on track to begin the ascent at 12pm,aiming to complete by 5pm! We’re taking this challenge on to raise money for our partner charity RoSPA’s (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) Brighter Beginnings campaign which focuses on looking to the future and keeping kids safe. Their campaign has implemented some brilliant safety systems such as a Parent hub which provides helpful information to keep children safe. They have also launched a 24 hour helpline called lifeline, this free service provides parents with advice in keeping their children safe from accidental harm. You can found out more information about the appeal here (http://www.rospa.com/campaigns-fundraising/current/keeping-kids-safe/brighter-beginnings-appeal/) .

We have recruited the following dedicated (and slightly crazed) team to take on this challenge:

Danny Adamson – Group Managing Director and sports analogy King

David Dring – Group Finance Director and his second time up and down

David Cload – Group Survey Manager and expedition leader

Neil Jones –Group Purchasing Manager and comic relief hero

Nicolle Kane – Group Marketing Manager and mountain free spirit

Emma Stevenson – Marketing Executive and positivity preacher

Danny Price – Fabrication and Stocksigns BFG

Max Smithson – Client Team project support and fitness and frowning enthusiast

Daryl White – Digital Print Operative and ginger ninja

Peter Hawkins – Account Manager and team driving force

Poli Matata – Special guest!

Tom Harris  -  Gatwick Project Manager

At Stocksigns safety is something we feel passionate about. Accidents are the biggest killer of children and young people so we are proud to help support and raise awareness in keeping children safe.

Thank you!
