Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

For those of you that didnt know, Adam Hawkins, Michael Stopp, Michael Hyde, James Hewitt, Dan Timm and Matt Crookes are competing in the King Sturge Property Triathlon on the 9th July 2010. We are doing it as a relay so we will be in two seperate teams but both representing Bam Construction.

The teams will be divided into:

Team A:

Adam Hawkins-Swimming 750 metres

Michael Stopp- Running 5KM

Michael Hyde- Cycling 20KM

Team B

Dan Timm-Swimming 750 metres

Matt Crookes- Running 5KM

James Hewitt- Cycling 20KM

Not all of you will know all of the team members so here is a background on the teams:

Adam Hawkins- Has not done exercise in 5 years

Michael Stopp- Has two left feet

Michael Hyde- Our only hope

Dan Timm- Cant Swim

Matt Crookes- Doesn't even know he has signed up to this

James Hewitt- Can only ride a bike with stabilisers

We are raising money for the Cancer Care And Haematology unit which is based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury. The centre gives much needed treatment to patients with cancer and blood disorders in a specialist unit close to patient's homes, saving patients the long journey to oxford and other specialist centres.

The money you donate will help pay for training opportunities for staff, essential additional nursing posts for the unit, purchase new equipment and fund the research component of the Haematology Registrar post for the Buckinghamshire Hospitals Trust. All of this is done to keep the unit at the forefront of medical practice and support new techniques and technologies so that patients receive the best possible care.

After completion of the triathlon we will post photos and let you know which team was better.

Thank you in advance for your donations
