Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Update **
We have now completed the challenge, and actually managed 51+ miles over two days. Feet are in ribbons, achy legs and more (don't ask!) so if you can, and haven't already, please please please kindly donate what you can to this fantastic charity, who are lobbying govt on our behalves for safer roads for all, and offer free advice and support to bereaved families of roadside deaths. Your donation will make a massive difference. Thank you xx
Myself, Janice, Jane, Trevor and Paul are walking part of the National Forest Way - 45 miles in two days - in aid of Brake, the road safety charity.
Brake helped me through the worst times after my wonderful, vivacious husband Stew died, when a car drove across his side of the road and collided with his bike. They offer free support to families where a loved one dies or is seriously injured by the roadside.
As they are a wholly self funded charity, they need our support.
Brake have several campaigns running, one of which is lobbying the government for stricter sentences for deaths caused by careless or dangerous driving. They also campaign for safer roads and help bereaved families and victims of road accidents with free support and counselling.
Please help myself and our friends reach our target of to help this great charity in memory of Stew. Please also share on social media, email and with your friends and wider colleagues/community as much and as often as you can, it sometimes takes up to 7 views for one person to donate, so your sharing really does make a difference. Thank you.
Update - training is going well! And delighted to be supported by not just friends and family but the whole industry that Stew worked in, read more here:
