On May the 28th I will be running the Edinburgh marathon in memory of my dear wife Carol Irwin whom I lost to cancer in the same month last year.

This disease mercilessly robs a person of so many things and never gives back. The wonderful people at Marie Curie provide an opportunity to navigate end of life care with dignity. Their support was invaluable to Carol and I in her last days. I am forever grateful to them.

Edit: Target has been increased. Humbled, honoured and slightly speechless.
