Stevie's Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 2015

Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 2015 · 2 August 2015 ·
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
I am undertaking the 2015 Prudential RideLondon - Surrey 100 mile bike ride for
Epilepsy Action UK.
More information about the challenge can be found here;
http://www.prudentialridelondon.co.uk/The_Events/100.htm
I am undertaking this challenge to bring awareness of Epilepsy and to help in research of this condition which affects over 600,000 people in the UK, including myself!
I have a form of this condition called Tonic Seizure,
which some of you may have witnessed first hand? I have it mostly under control
through medication but much more needs to be done to understand Epilepsy. The
research by the staff at Glasgow University and the Glasgow Western Infirmary
hospital who helped diagnose and treat my condition just under 20 years ago
made me one of the lucky ones who can carry on a full and active lifestyle but
there are many sufferers out there who cannot. Not a lot is known about what
causes Epilepsy so please help me to raise money for the research and treatment
of Epilepsy and please visit the Epilepsy Action UK site at https://www.epilepsy.org.uk/ for more
information.
Last year my family, friends, colleagues and Tradeweb Cares helped me raise
£1,280.00 for being a part of the Prudential RideLondon - Surrey 100 2014
event.
Last year they had to cut 14 miles off the route as the tail end of Hurricane Bertha slammed into the UK so this time I am hoping for better weather and to complete the full 100 miles, for my sins!!!
Let’s see if you can help me raise even more money this time?
So please help me to raise at least £650 for putting my body, mind and beer belly through hell again for this great cause?!
Any amount will be greatly received and appreciated.
Thank you very much
