Story

On March the 24th I depart from the UK to take part in the biggest challenge of my life.

Myself and the Walking With the Wounded team will be walking unsupported to the Geographical North Pole - yes I know it sounds crazy!

Amongst this group will be military servicemen who have been wounded in the line of duty.

As you know I was involved in an IED explosion in August 2009 and suffered a broken back, I have worked hard to get myself back to fitness and this challenge is a hige goal for me to achieve.

This is a brave undertaking by people who have had their lives irreversibly changed whilst serving their country. They now seek to rebuild their lives and to inspire and help others to follow their lead as they set out to prove that injuries and amputations need not be a barrier to endeavour and achievement.

‘Walking with the Wounded’ is a unique and truly special expedition that will see wounded servicemen from our Armed Forces trek to the Geographical North Pole unaided. In doing so they will enter the record books as the first wounded soldiers to reach this remote destination.
