Fundraising for British Blind Sport
I have been lucky enough to get
a London Marathon place running for British Blind Sport. After receiving this news recently I have only got about 3 months to train! But I am
determined to give it my best shot and raise as much money as possible
for a charity with which I have had first hand experience.
British Blind Sport provides sport and recreation for blind and
visually impaired people across the whole county in a wide variety of sports. British Blind Sport is a registered charity and would not be able to do all of its positive work without external funding. From working for British Blind Sport I know that the money will be well spent, the money raised will not go to paying my salary but making sure events take place that visually impaired people can enjoy and get all the sport and physical activity benefits from.
It would be great if you guys would sponsor me...as much or as little
as you so that I can raise funds for British Blind Sport to continue
providing the sporting opportunities. The marathon will be a real challenge
for me; I have completed a half marathon but now am going for the full one...I would be lieing
if I said I am not daunted by the prospect but I have drawn up a strict
training plan which hopefully I will be able to stick to (...if the
snow stays away!).
So please sponsor me to complete this marathon challenge and raise lots
of money for a charity that really does provide amazing
opportunities in sport for visually impaired people.
