Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. A fund has been set up called the Steven Hughes Fund to support CLIC Sargent.
Steven Hughes was a very talented musician. He was a songwriter and could play any instrument. He was self taught and could play anything by ear even if he had not heard the song before. Music was his life.
In february 2017, Steven was diagnosed with a very aggressive type of cancer. He fought so hard to beat it but unfortunately on the 20th september 2017, he lost the fight.
One of stevens wishes was to have a fund set up in his name to help other young musicians going through cancer.
Clic Sargent have been a huge part of our lives, helping steven but also us as a family. The work they do is amazing. They really do limit the damage cancer causes. They have done their absolute best to ease the stresses of cancer on steven and us all. Providing emotional support, helping with all of stevens needs and things he wouldnt have been able to do or have if they wasnt involved with him.
Clic Sargent run a musical workshop, helping young musicians have the chance to access and learn to play instruments, songwriting, performance skills and so much more. This is what steven was all about. This is why it is an absolute pleasure to be able to join this programme in Steven's memory.
We are asking for donations, anything you can afford to give to this fund. All proceeds go straight to the music workshop. I thank you all in advance.
Thanks
Tammy jane (stevens mum)
