Steve was the coach of Bury Amateur AFC Santos, under 10's in the East Manchester JFL, and the Heywood Sports Village Mini Soccer League. His life revolved around grassroots football, and for well over 40 years he generously and selflessly devoted his time, energy and love of the game for the benefit and enjoyment of others, especially the kids that he coached.

His life was ended early on 25th May, by Covid-19, although he had directly been affected by cancer and had also in the recent past lost his daughter to cancer. With the blessings of his family we have set up this page to raise much needed funds and awareness of the need for research into cancer, its causes and hopefully ultimately a cure.

Steve will be missed by so many people whose lives that he passed through during the many years he was involved in the game. May he rest in peace.  Please donate in his memory.
