As Berkshire’s premier cycling club and after the tragic loss of our friend Rob (aka 'Pelo'), Ripcor is continuing to support our friends at The PACE Centre in 2023.

Pelo was there at the very start of the Ripcor journey and a fierce supporter of our favourite charity the Pace Centre, contributing to, and, helping us raise, in excess of £750,000 for this incredible charity and he never let us forget how lucky we were to be able to do something we love and at the same time help children less fortunate than us.

Pelo guided me on my first road bike ride in February 2012. Typically he didn't take the mickey out of my borrowed bike, football kit and trainers and completely lack of preparation. He did coax me over a few months towards my first riding events, Tour de Yorkshire followed by London to Paris. He also awarded me the nickname of 'Speed Steve' which has stuck to this day even though my actual speed may be declining with age.

This year we are riding to Paris in Rob’s memory in May and hope to use this as a further opportunity to raise funds through individual sponsorship.

In the meantime, please feel free to donate here and in doing so help the children at the PACE Centre who are a constant source of inspiration to us all.

Your support will help to transform the lives of children with sensory motor disorders. You will help unlock the potential of children with conditions such as cerebral palsy by helping to provide intensive specialist education and therapy individually tailored to each child. You will be giving the children the skills they need to become independent.
