This October, We'll be running The Great Scottish Run Half Marathon to honour the memory of our mum, whom we lost on the 28th of April this year, and also for each and every person affected by cancer, past or present.

My mum fought and defeated cancer many years ago, but sadly, it wasn't to be the case this time, even though she showed fighting spirit right to the very end. I had the privilege of having my mum for 38 years, but many others don't have such time with loved ones due to the cruel nature of cancer.

We'll be raising money for Maggie's Centre, who provide vital free support to anyone dealing with cancer. All donations made will be greatly appreciated and will hopefully make a difference to the lives of people living with cancer in Lanarkshire.
