20 Haiku for Wales Air Ambulance

Fy20 / My20 · 1 March 2021 to 31 March 2021 ·
For #My20 (the Charity's 20th anniversary fundraising event), I’ll be writing 20 haiku poems during March. I'll share the poems via Just Giving updates and my social media accounts.
Obscure? Yes it is, but it’s my way of supporting a vital charity while creating something that people will (hopefully) enjoy.
Haiku is an ancient form of Japanese poetry. It’s a balance of simplicity and complexity. It’s a snapshot of a moment in time, usually focused on nature and the natural world. You could describe it as a photograph in words. For a more detailed description, visit www.poetryfoundation.org/learn/glossary-terms/haiku-or-hokku
- or read ‘Writing and Enjoying Haiku’ by Jane Reichhold.
I hope you enjoy the poems created but, more importantly, I hope you can contribute to the lifesaving work of the Wales Air Ambulance Charity.
Thank you.
