Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Our beautiful mum had been suffering badly from the effects of her terminal cancer.  The anxiety and fear that she and the family were experiencing were taking away from the precious time we had to spend with her.

Mum was moved to Sam Beare hospice after a short hospital stay and the team there were nothing short of amazing.  Knowing that mum didn’t have long, they did everything possible to make sure her last days with us were as peaceful and special as possible.  They arranged a weekend transfer which isn’t normally allowed, a beautiful room with a balcony and round the clock care dedicated to mum’s comfort and wellbeing.

To top it off they helped us set up a link for mum to watch Steven and his partner get married and hold a blessing there later on.  They gave us use of their lovely day room, bought mum down, stayed with her during the ceremony to make sure she was comfortable and found vases for her flowers.  They even tidied up for us afterwards so we could spend all our time with mum.

We are so incredibly grateful for their care and understanding.  We would never wish anyone to go through what mum and our family has but if it should happen then we would recommend Sam Beare over and over again.
