Maria's last fundraiser
Fundraising for Highland Hospice
Fundraising for Highland Hospice
This is Maria's story
At the end of October, I returned from the most magical holiday at Disneyland Florida. Unfortunately the happyness soon changed ,as I was taken straight to Raigmore hospital with a suspected leg and lung clot. Sadly during tests it was discovered that I had chalangiocarcinoma, a very rare liver cancer, and was told the very sad news that it was terminal, and had to be moved to the Highland Hospice.
The powerhouse that I am I would like to do one last fundraising event for the Highland Hospice who have provided me with with love, support and knowledge that will help me through this difficult time. I have been overwhelmed by all the flowers, gifts and cards but I kindly ask that if everyone could channel their love and support with a donation to the Highland Hospice, so it can provide help to me and others in the future.
The Highland Hospice is amazing place with great facilities and the most lovely staff. However none of this would be possible without the help of all the fabulous fundraising events required to help keep the place running. I was stunned to hear to that it requires £7000 a day to keep the doors open. However even the smallest amount of money raised can be used to help in so many ways.
I thank you all for your love and well wishes and thank anyone in adnavce that has taken the time to donate
Love you all Maria xxx
