Hi, friend! Steven Mezzacappa here! As you may know, since 2013 I’ve been a passionate supporter and volunteer of the University Bridge Program. In 2018, it was acquired by Engineers In Action and has continued to impact the lives of thousands of people across the world who are cut off from essential needs due to the lack of bridges over impassable rivers.

This year I took a major step in my professional life as I left behind my career in corporate America to join the Engineers In Action staff full time as the Development Director.

It’s been an exciting year for EIA’s Bridge Program. In fact, thanks to our generous supporters, 2022 was our biggest year yet! We empowered hundreds of volunteers from 21 university chapters and three industry partners to help build 13 bridges in Bolivia, Eswatini, and West Virginia. These bridges now connect thousands of previously isolated people to essential resources.

In 2023, we aspire to have an even greater impact. We're aiming to build 14 more bridges to serve thousands more people with the help of 22 university chapters and six industry partners.
