Story

One of our top-performing swimmers, Ethan Billinge is currently taking time out from a very busy training schedule to overcome and defeat Leukaemia.  Ethan is not afraid of big challenges as his past performances in the pool have demonstrated.  This challenge is no different and although new and different, he has world-class coaches, a great family and a brilliant Swimming Club supporting him.

Teenage Cancer Trust - YPU Ward at the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham is taking the lead for us with this challenge, and confidence is high in the camp of one podium position for Ethan, which is clear the blood cancer and achieve gold.

However, we're reaching out for help by asking you to take our Lemon CoD Challenge (take a big bite of a lemon and keep it in your mouth for 10 seconds!).

This type of Leukaemia is risking and taking lives of too many people, preventing them reaching their potential and like Ethan doing amazing things.

Please help Ethan and Queen Elizabeth by making a donation to our JustGiving page, and share your Lemon CoD videos with us on twitter (www.twitter.com/cityofderbysc).

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
