Story
Two years ago, on February 19th 2020, I had my hair and beard styled and trimmed in anticipation of our wedding day. And very smart it looked too! Then... the Pandemic hit. 24 months have passed without me having my hair or beard cut, (I did have a slight trim to the beard in advance of wedding attempt 4 (part A)). We now approach wedding attempt 4 (part B), so the time has probably come for me to have a proper trim. To that end, it's ALL coming off and I'm starting from scratch. (Btw, Shevaun has never seen me clean shaven, but it's okay, 4A saw us complete the legal part so she can't run away now!)
I will be donating my hair to the "Little Princess Trust" so that it can be made into wigs for children with cancer, and I also look to donate the beard to a charity that can use it to help clean up oil spills. Here I ask you to support another charity that I am a big fan of (The RNLI) and specifically their project to fund the building of a new Tower lifeboat station on the Thames.
On to the fun bit: I'll be giving one lucky supporter the opportunity to wield (or nominate someone amusing to wield) The Clippers and perform the Big Shave (must be able to do it before 20th March, so I'm not still bald on my wedding day!).
Every pound and penny raised on this fundraising page will go towards building the new Tower lifeboat station. Their current station is old, cramped and no longer fit for purpose. It lacks proper facilities, and the structure is beyond economical repair, and there is no privacy for vulnerable casualties. We urgently need your help to fund this purpose-built lifeboat station at Tower to carry on our lifesaving mission. We don't receive government funding so are really counting on your support to help meet the £5M total cost of this project. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity. Its a chance for you to be part of an enduring London landmark something really special. You'll be part of our crew and your donation will help save lives in the capital for decades to come. Thank you for your support
