We protect and champion bugs and habitats to save the small things that run the world

Story

Hi, My name is Steve and I have been volunteering for Buglife- The Invertebrate Conservation Trust since September 2008. I help the team out in the head office by doing admin work and data entry as well as doing all the odd jobs like fixing peoples chairs and bikes!

I am not a bug expert but I wanted to help Buglife raise some money for bugs. So, I am ‘losing it for bugs’. I hope to raise £500 for bugs by losing 6 stone in a year. This means I need to lose between one and two pounds each week.

The money I raise will go to Buglife who work to conserve all invertebrates. They are the only charity in that do this! The money raised will help them fund conservation projects to save endangered bugs and their homes. I especially want to help bugs because not many people will give money to creatures they find scary or uncharismatic – but they still need your help!

Buglife is the only organisation in Europe devoted to the conservation of all invertebrates, and we are actively working to save Britain’s rarest little animals. Invertebrates underpin life on earth and without them the world’s ecosystems would collapse. Saving the small things that run the planet.
