Story
I have wanted to take part in the Great North Run for a long time, although I never seemed able to find enough motivation to finally apply. Last year I found that motivation, in May of last year after nearly 2 years of trying we had the amazing news we were expecting our first child together (this was to be my first child). But sadly on our 12 week dating scan we discovered there was no heart beat, resulting in a mis-miscarriage, we were heartbroken and devastated.
The support we received from all the NHS nurses was amazing and helped us through a horrific time. We were also given a 4Louis memory box to remember our little ray of sunshine by. For anyone not aware 4Louis is a UK charity that works across the country to support anyone affected by miscarriage, stillbirth and the death of a baby or child. They also work to improve the care bereaved families receive from health care and other professionals.
I will be running other road runs throughout 2019 to try and raise money for 4Louis but I see the Great North Run as possibly the most physically challenging thing I have ever taken part in.
I thank you all in advance for all your donations
