Beard growing isn't one of my strong points, it tends to grow in patchy, and takes a lot of effort to maintain.  It is also itchy as hell, and doesn't retain half as much heat as it looks to.

I would point out that the appearance of 'ginger' that it may/may not get as it grows is an optical illusion.  This is merely the external appearance of some blond hairs and some black hairs.  This is a real thing, it's science and everything.
