Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So, this year I was planning on doing another walk so thought why not do it for charity too. My mother has been a sufferer of chronic ME for the last few years, leaving her pretty much housebound.

It's an illness currently with no known cure, and so limited help is gained from health services as it there just isn't enough known about it.

So I will be attempting the Wainwright Coast 2 Coast walk, a 182 mile walk from St Bees, through the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors National Parks. It's a lot of friggin maps!

I appreciate we are in uncertain times at the minute, so many thanks in advance any support whatsoever.

Shout out to my brother from another Carter for doing the art you see on this page. Go check his talent bursting works @halfdrawnhoopoe on instagram. https://www.instagram.com/halfdrawnhoopoe/

The ME Association campaigns hard to get ME recognised as a severe neurological illness. Our helpline provides essential information and support to adults and children who have ME/CFS, and to their families and carers. We also fund biomedical research into the physical nature and causes of ME/CFS.
