Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running, just running, nothing smart, intellectual or clever, am I creative, no, apparently it is just one foot in front of the other just as we taught ourselves before we could shout "your round" however, it now seems an incredibly difficult task, one I would like you to have the pleasure in watching from afar. Am I scared, hell yes, do you think I can do this, probably not, will I do it just to prove you wrong, I hope so!
All I keep thinking of is run fatboy run, it's crossed your mind admit it. Maybe together we should forget this idea or maybe we should embrace it as it's for a brilliant cause, Meningitis can happen to anyone but especially the young. Maybe we should feel good that there are people who run like Simon Pegg, not me obviously I am Usain Bolt my picture tells you this but only when being chased by a large Yorkshire Terrier or a man in tight lycra blue shorts!!
I am also doing this for the legacy of Michael, Estelles brother. However I want this to be a celebration, maybe a moment of reflection of how lucky we are and what we take for granted each day. I am also doing this for my sister and my dad who still runs faster than me as a pensioner (in age only!). He will train me (hopefully) beat me to the finish line but on race day I will remember all of you who donated, supported, laughed, mocked and watched the tv looking for the bloke who bears the name given to him by Hugo aged 7 1/2...Run FatBoy Run!
Thanks for reading, thanks for donating and thanks for being you
Steve (Run fatboy...go on run!)
