On 27^th July, I will join 9 others who have volunteered to be strapped to the top of a Boeing Stearman bi-plane as it flies at up to 130mph at around 2,000 ft just for fun! Being a Trustee of Hope House Children’s Hospices for 11 years now, I am often in awe of the hundreds of people every year who do mad things to raise money for us. Now it’s my turn!

The reason, of course, is to raise much needed funds for our two hospices – Hope House in Oswestry and Tŷ Gobaith in
Conwy so we can continue to provide specialist nursing care and support to more than 750 children and their families, living in Shropshire, Cheshire, North and Mid Wales.

Three local families a week face the pain of their child dying. We currently raise more than £ 7.5 million every year and this enables us to help one in every three of those families. Our mission is to raise an additional £ 2.5 million every year by 2025 so we can help every family who needs us.
