Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Why am I doing this and what are the challenges?        As most of you are aware my 8 year old daughter Hollie has Alopecia Totallis. This is total hair loss including head, eyebrows etc. As this is not a life threatening disease unfortunately there is very little funding for research in the uk. As you can imagine the impact of this disease can be devastating for individuals. Hollie is a fantastic young lady and really is an inspiration to us all. Therefore I am trying to raise some funds to help support the children and adults in the uk and would really appreciate any help or support you could give her and others with the disease and hopefully one day find a cure.

My other personal challenge is as most of you are aware I am not exactly "Steve Cram" material, My current weight is 15 and a half stone! I will be training hard and getting down to my running weight of 13 stone which in its self will be a miracle, I should also mention that the most I have ever run is 4 miles. The preparation for this will be tough and will test my own will power to the absolute maximum. Thank you for reading this and thank you for your help and support. I will send out updates through the next 9 months of my training and progress in preparation for the Great South Run.
