Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
On 11th October I joined hundreds of other participants to run a 10Km (6 mile) run around the landmarks of Nottingham in the Men's Health Survival of the Fittest Challenge (see www.mhsurvival.co.uk for details / results / photos etc). As anyone who knows me will be aware, I don't do running. (That's what cars were invented for!). But this was different. At each Km mark we were faced with an obstacle to overcome. Some examples were; 3mtr high hay bale wall, an Army assult course, swimming the lagoon at the National Watersports centre, running up the terraces at the Forest ground etc. I eventually finished after 1 hour 15 mins and in 261st place out of 890 (- not bad for a veteran!). You can see more photos on my Facebook page.
Thanks so much to everyone who sponsored me. I have already raised over £500 in total and the donations are still rolling in.
It's not too late to sponsor me - this website remains open until January so please stick a couple of quid down for Cancer Research.
Many thanks, Steve.
