Story
I've been training hard for a few months to do probably the hardest thing I have ever done, I am going to run the London marathon!!!
If anybody would've suggested this a year ago, I would've laughed, as "people like me don't do things like that". I was 3 1/2 stone overweight and hadn't run for over 25 years. In my active addiction though, I used to see the London marathon on the TV and dream of having a 'normal' life, to be able to do what normal people do! Well today I am free from the bondage of addiction and know that I able to do anything with good support, belief in myself, commitment and determination, I try and live by the statement that "anything is possible!!"
I am running for 'The Forward Trust' (previously Rapt) who have been doing some amazing work over 25 years reforming offenders to living fulfilling lives drug and alcohol free and have many friends who have personally come through their programmes. Have a look at this 2 minute video to see for yourself what they are doing. https://www.facebook.com/ForwardTrust/videos/1740470606015065/
If you could help support me to run this marathon and to raise money for such a transformative organisation, I will be really grateful!
