Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Here we go again! For the third time, I'm taking part in the 'Pedal for Pounds' ride - this time a 250 mile jaunt around Yorkshire over the course of 3 days. AND, because that just seemed too easy, I'm also doing:
150 miles coast-to-coast (Southport to Hornsea), over 2 days.
The 80-mile Great Yorkshire Bike Ride (Wetherby to Filey in a day).
So, by the middle of June I will be over 500 miles for 2013 (and a lot more with training!), and more than 1000 for this cause since 2011. Between us we're aiming to break the £1m raised by the 'keep it up' campaign.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is an independent charity providing a life saving rapid response emergency service to 5 million people across Yorkshire. They fly seven days a week, 365 days a year, covering a vast landscape that not only includes major cities and motor ways, but also rural and isolated locations.
To keep providing this life saving service the charity needs to raise £7200 per day to keep both of Yorkshire’s Air Ambulances maintained and in the air. The generosity that they receive is the life blood of the charity and without this, they would not be able to provide the service that we are so proud of.
I know it’s the third time I’ve asked many of you to sponsor me, but I’m always amazed at how much you all give when I ask nicely...
Cheers!
Steve
