I completed the Great Birmingham Run on Sunday 21st October 2012 for my mother, great auntie, mother-in-law, brother-in-law and close friends who have all been directly affected by cancer.

I had never attempted a half marathon before but had been inspired by TeamGB and ParalympicsGB over the summer to try this challenge.

I finished in 1hr 54 mins and was ranked 4,757 out of approx. 18,000 runners.
