Story
Steve used to run 5k in 30 minutes, these days he is often in a wheelchair. After 11 months of Long Covid, oxygen therapy has helped him find his feet again.
The coronavirus has hit every organisation hard but small charities have been affected particularly badly & we're no exception. All fundraising was diverted to overheads to ensure we are still around when it's safe to return. As vaccine research progresses, we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Until that time, and as we've now reopened, we're keeping our members safe by reducing the number of people in each session. We've also reduced the number of sessions per day to give us the time needed for extra cleaning. These changes have obviously affected the income for our Centre; income that's needed to pay the bills and pay for the oxygen. We need to:
* Raise money to go towards specialised masks for those members who can't afford to buy their own
* Raise money to cover the cost per seat of the oxygen provision
* Raise money to pay for the PPE and cleaning products that we've been unable to blag (thank you Morrisons Netherfield)
* Raise money to ensure that all equipment is maintained to its highest standard.
Thank you!
