The Training Must go on regardless of conditions
The weather may be horrible out there but the training MUST continue..Mountain Bike it is today
As the festive season is fast approaching the training is easing a little, just nice steady easy miles for now. once into the new year the serious training will commence
Still a while to go but in June 2014 I will be cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats over 9 days for The Christie Charitable fund...Please sponsor me and help support this great charity...please donate as much or as little as you like as every little helps.
On the 14th June 2013 I will be riding LEGOG (LANDS END TO JOHN O'GROATS for those that may not know what LEJOG is) The ride itself will be over 9 Days
Steves Lejog 4 The Christie
Lejog 4 The Christie is my own personal challenge ride for 2014 in memory of my late father in law and to raise funds for The Christie Charitable Fund
I'm sure we all know of someone in our lives that have suffered with cancer, myself included as i have had family members/friends suffer with the disease. If anyone would be willing to make a donation it really would be most appreciated, either donate via my justgiving site or contact me personally.
The Christie charitable Fund, support the incredible work of The Christie hospital. The vital funds raised by the charity help to make The Christie more than 'just a hospital', making it the special place it is.
They focus on developing and supporting four key areas -
- Providing the best care and treatment for our patients
- Using clinical trials and research to make major breakthrough
- Increasing our understanding of cancer through education
- Helping patients and their families by offering extra support
They raise money to fund projects at The Christie that lie outside the scope of the NHS, including advanced facilities such as our patient treatment centre and the clinical trials unit.
AND NOW THE HARD WORK STARTS, BY WAY OF THE TRAINING THAT LIES AHEAD OF ME. I WILL ALSO BE CARRYING OUT VARIOUS OTHER EVENTS OVER THE COMING MONTHS TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE CHARITY.
