Story
We did it!! We started from Land's End on 27th March and finished at John O' Groats on 9th April. Thank you to everyone for all their support and for all your donations, they really kept us going while on the cycle, and made us proud to know you all.
Have a look at the pictures above to see us at the start line and the finish, we will add more over time from different parts of the trip.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
As some of you will know, we are going to be cycling from Land's End (the most southerly point in Great Britain) to John O' Groats (the most Northerly) starting on 26th March 2010 and finishing between 10-14 days later, depending on weather conditions, and our fitness! We will be cycling alone, carrying all our equipment on panniers, and sleeping in a tent each night.
Last Summer we raised a small amount for charity by cycling 300 miles from Liverpool along the canal to Leeds, and then by road across to Hull, from coast to coast, West to East. This Easter, we want to cycle over 900 miles from South to North, and hopefully raise lots of money for our chosen charity, Cancer Research UK. As you will know, the charity is dedicated to beating cancer through research, and after much thought, we decided this would be a great cause.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now, and tell your friends about this worthwhile cause!
