It costs Rainbows Children's Hospice, Loughborough, £2.8 million each year to provide care for life-limited children. They receive very little government funding, so any support you give is vital. As the East Midlands' only hospice for children and young people, Rainbows is a place where life-limited children and their families can take a break from life's worries and heartaches.

I'm running the Great North Run this year in support of this fine cause. I just hope to finish in daylight and, with a bit of luck, beat Mr Tickle, Buzz Lightyear and the bloke in the giraffe suit!
