Story

I have decided to finally enter the Great North Run, I have always wanted to compete in the run but never really pushed myself to go ahead and do it.

My Dad was diagnosed with Dementia a few years ago and on 1st January 2012 I lost my Uncle Harry partly due to Dementia.

I have seen first hand how Dementia can affect peoples lives, and it is only recently that Dementia has started to be recognised as a charity that needs a lot of support, and it is for this reason that I have entered to run on behalf of this great charity.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in aid of Alzheimers UK.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
