We use music to enrich people’s lives

Story

I have been accepted to be part of the Heavy Metal Truants team that will cycle from London to Download Festival in June. 164 miles of tough roads over 2 and a half days all in the name of helping children in need. Every penny raised gets split equally across Nordoff Robbins, Childline and Teenage Cancer Trust. So please - if you can, donate. Thank you. It's a big target that I need to hit and I'm very much hoping I will. To kick this off I'm funding the £300 registration myself.

This incredible fundraising campaign which was started by former- Metal Hammer Editor Alexander Milas and Iron Maiden's Rod Smallwood has raised £338,000 for Nordoff Robbins, Teenage Cancer Trust, and Childline to date.

Nordoff Robbins is the largest independent music therapy charity in the UK, dedicated to changing the lives of vulnerable and isolated people. It supports thousands of people in its own centres and by working in partnership with a wide range of organisations including care homes, schools and hospitals. When delivered by a trained practitioner, music therapy can help a child with autism to communicate, reduce anxiety for those living with dementia or provide comfort and celebrate the life of someone facing terminal illness.
