Steve's The 10 event blind runner challenge

The 10 event blind runner challenge · 7 August 2019
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have always been a marathon runner. I have been partially sighted from the age of 8 and until a couple of years ago I was able to run unaided. My sight has since declined and I now walk with the aid of a white cane. I have taken up running again seriously one year ago and I run several times a week with various guide runners using a tether.
I am undertaking a personal challenge by participating in 10 sporting events with my fantastic guides; Carl, Sue, Damien, Rich, Russ and Pete. The events start on 17th August and end on 24th November. They consist of; Super Heroes Triathlon, Clacton Half Marathon, Pleshey Half Marathon, Great East Half Marathon, The Salt Marsh 75 (50 miles), The Tiptree 10 Mile, Riverside Half Marathon, Stebbing 10 Mile, Chelmsford 10k and finally Hertfordshire Half Marathon.
I am raising money for Sanctus Homeless Charity. It is an amazing grass roots charity in Chelmsford, Essex providing a free café, day space, companionship, advice and guidance for the homeless and vulnerable community of Essex. My wife Emma is a Trustee and Support Manager at Sanctus and it is a unique and valuable service for up to 90 individuals daily. Please help me raise vital funds for the vulnerable members of our community and a very worthy cause.
