Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, helping me to support Breast Cancer Now.
Right now breast cancer is at a tipping point. More women are surviving. But more are being diagnosed than ever before. And every 45 minutes, another woman dies from the disease. With a lot of others I am trying to do my part in trying to change that by cycling the Prudential Ride London 100 to raise vital funds.
The 2019 Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 will take place on Sunday 4 August 2019.
The Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 starts from 05:45 in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then follows a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside. With leg-testing climbs, including Box Hill & Leith Hill and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics, it's a truly spectacular event for all involved. The Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 finishes on The Mall in central London, shortly before 150 professional cyclists race in the Prudential Ride London-Surrey Classic on a similar route.
Thank you very much for giving any support you can in my quest to conquer the hills of Surrey and the streets of London, for a very testing 100 miles. I will add lots of updates and you will be able to see how the training's going for the big ride.
My mum was diagnosed with an early stage of cancer through having a routine mammogram, and she considers herself to be one of the lucky ones... That’s why this cycle ride is all the more important to me, as my mum is still here to tell the tale thankfully!!
Thanks again :)
