Story
On the 20th of October this year, I will be running The Great South Run in Portsmouth. It is 10 miles and it’s to raise funds for the Brain Tumour Charity. As you will know this running lark is all new to me, I apparently have the running ability of Mr Bean’s and Bambi’s love child!! So, for me personally it will be a massive challenge and one that I will find extremely tough, although it fades into insignificance compared to the poor souls living with a brain tumour and for their loved ones. Janice and I have seen this ourselves and it is truly heartbreaking. Janice’s close friend lost her battle within a year of being diagnosed and the illness is also affecting my family. Darren who is bravely battling this illness for a second time, supported by his amazing wife Tracy. Less than 3% of money invested into cancer research in Uk goes on brain tumours. The Brain Tumour charity really need your help, so anything you can spare really will make a difference. I will do my best to complete this challenge in the very best time I can and thinking about Darren, Tracy, Julie and Andy will drive me on to the finish line.
