Story
Steve:
I am running the London Marathon 2022 in aid of Macmillan Cancer support. I have lost a lot of family members due to cancer and have seen first hand the amazing work they do and the support that they give families in need it is truly inspiring. What’s even better is I get to run this with my big sister Christine in memory of lost loved ones!!
Christine:
Can't believe I got a Macmillan Cancer place on the London Marathon 2022!! I've grown up watching the London Marathon on TV ever since I was little and always wanted to do it. This is a real bucket list adventure for me and I'm so proud that I can raise money for Macmillan Cancer at the same time.
I have always been a keen runner and ran for charities before but for the last 5 years I haven't been able to walk without being in pain due to a nerve condition so running was completely out of the picture. Last year I was able to have an operation to correct the condition and what better way to celebrate by running the marathon 2022.
I feel very blessed that not only am I healthy enough to do this but that I also get to run it with My little big brother Steve.
Together we are so determined to raise as much money and awareness as we can for Macmillan Cancer!!
