Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

The money raised here will be given directly to the Action for Children’s North Lanarkshire Young Carers Project.

Action for Children’s North Lanarkshire Young Carers Project has been in existence for 15 years and supports children and young people who provide care and/or support to a family member who has a long term illness, is disabled, has a mental health illness, a drug or alcohol dependency, is elderly or has a blood borne virus.  They can be providing care to a parent, sibling, grandparent or any other relative within the household.

Young carers often have lots of different tasks to do within the home e.g. they may have to shop, cook and clean for the family, help someone get dressed, give medication, attend hospital appointments with the person they help to look after, pay bills and manage finances and help to look after younger brothers and sisters when parents feel unwell so they might miss out on the opportunities that other young children might take for granted.

Eight years ago my life changed beyond recognition when I found Herbalife. I was Broke, Unhealthy and Unhappy. I had amazing results using the Herbalife products, I lost 42 lbs in a very short space of time and kept it off ever since, now at 46 years old I have more energy than ever before and lead a Healthy Active Lifestyle.

I now help as many people as I can to get results like I did and help others get hooked on a Healthy Active Lifestyle.

As well as have a healthy lifestyle I want to give back to the community in any way I can and what better way to give back than help our countries children, The Herbalife Family Foundation already help childrens charities around the world and in this country with the charity Action For Children. This made my choice simple when I decided to run the Edinburgh Marathon :-).

I simply wouldn't be able to attempt this Marathon if I did not use Herbalife balanced nutrition.

Herbalife are proud to support world-class athletes and teams who use our products daily to help them excel under the most demanding circumstances.

Obesity is out of control!
Levels of adult obesity in the UK predicted to reach 33% by 2015, (UK Department of Health).

Thanks for taking the time to read this, now go and give a donation to the Charity Action For Children. The money raised here will be given directly to the Action for Children’s North Lanarkshire Young Carers Project.
