Hi everyone......

  

On 29 April I'm going to start walking 197 miles across England, from St Bees on the west coast to Robin Hoods Bay on the east coast, in support of Home-Start Havering. I'll be walking through the Lake District, over the Pennines, across the Vale of York, and up and over the North Yorkshire Moors. Thats 10 miles a day across the hills and mountains, and 23 miles a day on the 'flat' bits. If it all goes well it will only take 12 days!

  

Home-Start Havering supports young families by helping them to overcome terribly difficult times in their lives. Our Home-Start volunteers, who are all parents themselves, work with families to help protect their children and give them the best possible start in life.

Parents supporting parents; its a simple idea that really works. One Mum supported by Home-Start said 'without the help of Home-Start, I wouldn't be here now, and my children would be in care'.

  

At Home-Start we are totally responsible for finding our own funding to provide this unique service, so I would really appreciate your donation, large or small!
