Story
Ongoing fundraising in support of the invaluable work of The Mental Health Foundation.
Mental health effects us all, either directly or indirectly, we all have a friend or a loved 1 that has or is suffering with mental health issues.
Since the pandemic the cases have been increasing and now with the state of our economy predictions would indicate another rise.
Its well documented that movement/exercise helps to improve mental health, but as I said above, the cost of living increasing, more and more people will not be able to afford the gym, exercise classes etc and more cases of mental health issues will be the result.
I am a personal trainer and my ambition is to help as many people as possible, to have a long, quality, healthy lifestyle, both mentally and physically.
Last year we did pressups against mental health and had a great response so this year, I want to reach more people, create more awareness and also raise much needed funds to help this amazing charity to help the people who need help.
So I have a challenge for everyone to get involved in, its to walk the distance of John 'o' groats to lands end everyday for 21 days, which works out to be 1,286,617 steps or 643.3 miles collectively a day, 27,018,957 steps in total for the 21 days.
So I am going to need your help.
Why walk from John 'o' groats to lands end ? Well its right through the middle of the UK and mental health is tearing through the UK 🇬🇧. The goal is to start on mental health day 10/10/22 and to complete it on the 31/10/22.
So im asking all of you to get your step counters on, get your shoes on and get stepping !
Not only will you be helping and supporting a great cause, you will see an improvement in your mental health, increase your daily step count and therefore improve your health and fitness, make you feel good and bring people closer together ❤
