Story
Who are we?
Paul, Henry and Scott (Pictured left to right) work at STEPS Rehabilitation. Our goal is to raise money for a fantastic charitable organisation and we hope to make a few people laugh in the process. The more money raised, the more we get waxed!
When are we doing it?
The waxing will take place on Wednesday the 2nd March at STEPS Rehabilitation.
Who are we doing it for?
Every day 7 people sustain a spinal cord injury, and through our work we see the life changing impact a spinal cord injury has. SIA are the leading national charity supporting the 50,000 people living with a spinal cord injury in the UK.
Fundraising Milestones:
Each of us has chosen to wax various parts of our body at certain target milestones:
£200: Paul , Henry and Scott will wax both arms.
£500: Paul, Henry and Scott will wax both arms and 1 leg.
£1000: Paul, Henry and Scott will wax both arms and 2 legs.
Please help encourage the boys by donating what you can, remember the more money raised, the more pain the boys go through... All in the name of charity!
What your money can do:
- £25 helps cover the cost of an SCI nurse specialist consultation. The nurses help SCI people to prepare emergency care plans, and support them and their healthcare professionals with bowel and bladder management. This small but vital intervention can save lives.
- £50 pays toward regional support for SCI people. Families would struggle to cope without the practical advice and heartfelt empathy given by SIA regional support coordinators.
- £75 Helps ensure NHS funding packages are in place so everyone with a SCI gets the care needed to live a fulfilled life
