Story
I have decided to take on the 500,000 steps in march challenge, with the help from my boyfriend Jack, to raise money and awareness for CLIC Sargent. I chose to take part in this challenge in Memory of Jack's younger brother, Adam Parker. After being diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Adam sadly passed away at the age of 8 which was devastating for the whole family and everyone around them. This has left a massive hole in all of our hearts and we continuously do everything we can to make sure Adam is remembered everyday. CLIC Sargent was always there to support Jack's family and we wanted to do something to show our gratitude.
As walking is one of the few things we can do in the current lockdown situation, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to aim for this incredible goal of 500,000 steps. CLIC Sargent supports children and young people with cancer alongside their families. For every £35 raised, it helps pay for a family to stay one night in a Home from Home. These homes provide free accommodation close to the hospitals and are crucial in helping families stay together during their Childs treatment.
