Story
I did it!! In 4 hours 27 mins 0 secs. I bit slower than I'd hoped but a great day in every way, with fantastic support on the route. Apart from 2 heavy showers it was good weather too.
But above all, thank you ALL for your magnificent support. I am humbled by the volume and extent of your gifts, and I know that it is because Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice is such an excellent cause to support. So well done to you ALL - all I did was facilitate your exceptionally generous giving. (And for those who wish, more can of course be donated!!).

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please sponsor my run in the London Marathon - April 13th 2008. Everything I raise will go to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham, which takes terminal care patients from the area around where I am a GP in Farnborough. It is a wonderful place providing holistic care, and only receives 18% of its funding from the NHS - the rest coming from donations like yours!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Despite a small transaction charge (details below), on-line giving reduces the Hospice's admin costs, so it is the most cost-effective way to sponsor me. You need to give your details for Gift Aid to be claimed, but if you wish you can ask to give anonymously and your details will then not appear on my page. You will however receive an automatic email acknowledgement of your generosity. If you prefer you are welcome to send me a cheque made out to the Hospice (I will send you a gift aid form if you are eligible).
My training is going well, and barring injury I'm sure I will complete the course. How long I take is another matter! So please sponsor me now! Very many thanks for your support!
