Manchester Half Marathon · 16 October 2016
I've never run a half marathon before. To be honest I'm dreading it. But it's a challenge and a goal I want to succeed with. It's also great motivation I hope to get back in good shape, get fitter and maybe lose a few pounds along the way. In December 2015 I broke my foot and need to take a couple of months off running or excercise. This is something to aim for and keep me hopeful that I will get back to full strength in time.
Almost every day I hear of cancer and the people who fight and suffer it and those around them that are affected by it. It scares me. We need to find a cure. I hope the donations from this will contribute towards a cure for all our friends and family who are burdened with this horrible disease in the future.
I know it's easy to read these things and then not get involved but I'm pretty sure every single person who reads this is in a position to donate something. Even just 50 pence. Please. Will it really make a difference to your life having that amount of money less in your pocket? Or will it make a difference to your life knowing in the future you or your friends or your family will have the greatest treatment possible if you get sick?
Please donate. Whatever country you're from. Whatever age you are. Big or small. Even if you don't know me. Il be truly grateful. And hopefully it will be worth every penny.
