Story
At the beginning of August Jojo dropped the bombshell news that she had booked the two of us onto the South Coast Ultra Challenge - a 100 kilometre walk across the South Downs with the aim to finish in under 24 hours. To put that in perspective, that's almost two and a half marathons of non-stop walking (day and night), and over some pretty big hills!
Considering the blisters, cramp and probably chafing we're going to be experiencing on 3rd September, we thought this would be an excellent opportunity to raise some money for Prisoners Abroad! I've been working for Prisoners Abroad for nearly three years now, and it is a pretty remarkable charity that works incredibly hard to protect the health, wellbeing and basic human rights of British citizens detained abroad. It also works with ex-prisoners returning to the UK after a sentence and the family members and friends of those detained.
The cost of living crisis is making this a particularly difficult time for charities across the country, so even small donations will make a very real difference!
Thanks for having a read about our challenge, and drop me a message if you have any questions about Prisoners Abroad's work!
